Rachel Ricketts is a thought leader and outspoken champion for Black and Indigenous womxn. As a racial justice activist, healer, speaker + writer, she educates white folx on their role in perpetuating white supremacy, and helps folx of colour heal from internalized oppression. She is an established influencer boasting an online community of over 30,000 followers and hosts sold-out online and in-person workshops promoting racial justice.
Rachel is the co-founder of WOC (Women of Colour) Talks and has helped numerous global brands with anti-racism including WeWork, Google, CreativeLive, Lululemon and TELUS.
Rachel has written several viral articles, been featured in publications such as Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, Elephant Journal, 21Ninety, Black Girl in Om and Thrive, and presented at international conferences including SXSW, me Convention and the Follow Black Women Conference. Her forthcoming E-Book Get Spiritually Activated, a practical guidebook for using heart-centred tools to fight racial injustice, is set for release April 2019.

The 101 workshop is an opportunity for all hue-mans to come together to have sacred conversation about race + racism, especially White folks wanting to unpack their racism, POCs seeking help healing internalized oppression and all those seeking spiritual tools + practices to assist in racial justice.
#2 - Spiritual Activism 102 - What’s Next for White/White-Passing Folx? A Deeper Dive Into Racial Justice + Addressing Your White Supremacy
This workshop, specifically for White/White passing folx, builds on the work of 101 (101 is a prerequisite) and further dives into forms of white violence including spiritual bypassing and cultural appropriation.
#3 - Spiritual Activism 102 - What’s Next for POC/Mixed Folx? A Workshop for Addressing + Healing From the Grief Caused by Racist Patriarchy
This workshop, specifically for People of Colour (including Mixed Folx), builds on the work of 101 (however 101 is not a prerequisite) diving into the meaning and consequences of anti-blackness, internalized oppression and racial trauma.
#4 - Sur-Thriving in Sisterhood: Honouring Our Grief + Healing Our Hearts (for Black + Indigenous Womxn of Colour)
This workshop, specifically for Black and Indigenous womxn of colour (including trans, gender non-conforming, non-binary and intersex femmes) is a sacred space to nurture our race related wounds and heal our hearts.

Rachel is highly educated in both academic and spiritual teachings. In addition to her Law Degree, Diploma in Intercultural Education & Training and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, she is also a certified yin yoga teacher, Reiki energy healer, transformative breathwork facilitator, death doula and grief + loss professional. She is the co-founder of WOC (Women of Colour) Talks and, alongside every other Black person born in the last five centuries, a life-long student of the School of Hard Knocks housed within the Institute of White Supremacist Patriarchy.
